LUU has set up an Emergency Financial Assistance Fund to offer short term support for students who are in immediate financial difficulty. To be eligible, you must be a current registered student at the University and be able to show that you are unable to meet essential costs such as rent, bills, food over the next 4 weeks. To apply, you must fill out the application form which you can get from the Advice team and then send this back once complete.
The evidence you need is outlined on the form, and includes:
Latest 3 months bank statements (with transactions £100 and over explained)
Current tenancy agreement
Valid visa (if applicable/if you are an international student)
Any other essential expenditures you may have
