Happy new year!
2021 is here and many of you will be entering into the second term of the academic year. Just like 2020, this new year brings many uncertainties and questions surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact upon your studies, lifestyle, and wellbeing. We are here to help at LUU. Here's some ways we might be able to support you with issues you may be facing:
Need some money?
If you are struggling to pay your rent and bills or need help for food, message email@example.com and we may be able to help with the Emergency Hardship Fund and explain what financial support is available from the University for Home, EU and International students. We can also offer food parcels for immediate support.
Questions about your course, exams or having difficulties getting in touch with your academic school?
You should receive updated information from the University and/or your School, with each new government announcement, things may change. If you don’t have the answers you need or have concerns and your School haven’t been able to offer you the information you need – get in touch and we can help you find what you need.
Feeling isolated or just want to have some other focus than your studies?
Whilst we may not be able to do a lot of campus related activity there is a lot happening online that you can get involved in and just find some space for you that energises and helps to keep some positive motivation going? There's over 300 societies at LUU many of which are continuing their activities online so make sure you see what societies are offering here. The Edge are also running online wellbeing classes which you can sign up for here. Be sure to check our LUU news page for updates and wellbeing newsletters like this one.
Anything else on your mind?
No matter how small, if its on your mind and talking it through would help, just get in touch, even with another national lockdown our advisors will be still working so we can still be there for you. For 24/7 support have a look at https://www.luu.org.uk/help-support/
